This past July 4th marked our 12th annual Fourth Of July Church Picnic. We all rejoiced and had a great time together. We began the day in the Word at our monthly Men's Ministry Meeting. Following our meeting, our congregation gathered in fellowship and fun. We enjoyed great food and great fun! Thank you Jesus for our Independence!!

Missionary Trip To Sparrow's Gate
The children's gifts are arranged
for distribution.
The children had a great time opening their gifts. They received both toys and new clothes.
The children at Sparrow's Gate blessed us with their singing. They were very appreciative of everything they received.
Our group enjoyed the children's presentation and our time of fellowship with them. Also included in the day was a lunch of hot dogs. This was a treat for the children. They also fed us some delicious pozole.
This is the children saying goodbye to us as we drive away. Each of them has a bag filled with toys and clothing purchased just for them. Pastor Manuel communicates with the directors of Sparrow's Gate and gets clothing sizes, shoe sizes, the gender and age of each child.
Last year's trip to the Sparrow's Gate Children's Ministry was a joint effort between Presence Of The Lord Christian Church and Heritage Christian Church which is pastored by our dear friends Pastors Mark and Cindy Schroeder of Riverside, California. Pastor Manuel Perez communicates with the directors of the mission to get all the information for each child. A family in the church then "adopts" this child and blesses them with personal gifts and toys. We always look forward to this time of year. Our next trip to the Sparrow's Gate is scheduled for December 21, 2006.

Softball Team
This year Presence Of The Lord Christian Church had a softball team that played on Saturday nights in Riverside. The games offered a great opportunity for family fellowship and good times. The team is put together by Pastor Steve Perez. The Connection Youth Ministry run a concession stand to raise money for youth activities.
